Alright, I have an odd question for you all today. Does the week start on Sunday or Monday in your world? I have always gone by the calendar and used Sunday, but WordPress uses Monday as the start of a new week, so I am wondering if I’ve been doing it worong my entire life.
Yep. This is the random nonsense that goes through my head. The fact that so many of you support and enjoy my insanity puts me into a state of awe. That’s why I almost cried last week when Andi from Diary of a Gay Dad nominated me for a Sunshine Blogger Award.
Thank you, Andi. I am so honored to be included in your choice.

I didn’t know what this award was, so I looked it up. On a site called https://ukeveryday.com/ I found this:
What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given by bloggers to bloggers who inspire, create great content and bring positivity to the blogging community.
That definition makes me even more excited about this award. I have been battling negativity along with my chronic illness. I try to focus on my blessings and let my positivity shine through, but I’m never sure if it does or not. The fact that someone sees the hope I try to share, means a lot.

Questions Asked to Me
- What brings you the most happiness in life? My children. I love watching them grow and explore the world around them. I am so proud of the kindness and perseverance of my teenagers. My youngest is still full of questions and love watching how her brain works.
- If you could ‘do it all again’? How would you have done ‘it’? I wish I could say that I wouldn’t change a thing, but that would be a lie. I would have stayed with Rob when I was 16. I would have taken a chance on long distance relationships and worrying about loving a soldier.
- Following on to that. Who would you be now? I would like to think that I would be the same person I am now. I would be a mom, the wife of a good man, and strong enough to follow my dreams. The only difference is that I would not have the emotional scares left from my previous relationship.
- What makes you get up in the morning? If you want the literal answer, it’s my dogs. They wake up before everyone else and want to go outside to do their business. If you want the “what makes it worth it” view point, I get up because I want to live llife to the fullest. I have a to do list of wants and ideas a mile long. I always find a reason to smile, and hopefully put a smile on someone else’s face as well.
- Do you like Dalmatians? And if so, why? Of course I like Dalmatians. I grew up watching 101 Dalmations, and thought they were the cutest. I always associate them with fire trucks and loyalty.
- Apple’s IOS or Android? And why the preference? Apple. My first MP3 player was an iPod and I got used to iTunes. I like how it organizes my music and the ease for creating playlists. When they came out with their iPhone, it was already a format I was familiar with, so I stuck with it.
- What’s your ‘Porn name’? Add your first pet’s name to your mothers maiden name! Sunshine May (Makes me think of pigtails, sunflower bras and southern accents. Maybe I put too much thought into it.)
- Do you ever give a political opinion on your blog? I choose not to. So, why do you (or not)? I try not to, but sometimes my opinions come out. I would never tell anyone who to vote for or what to believe, but I do grumble about things like my governor making executive orders, laws, without the consent of our legislature.
- I have a design degree but also did year 1 of a geology degree! What 2 opposites make you happy? My opposites are science and english. I work in a hospital and studies Health Promotion and Rehabilitative Medicine in college, but my passions are reading, writing and cooking.
- What started you blogging? I started blogging because I wanted an outlet for all the things in my mind without having to go to therapy. I wanted to find a community that accepted me for who I am, all the randomness and crazy ideas. Maybe one day it will lead me to find a way to work from home, write a travel book, or a set of childrens books.
- Now, we have all engaged with the image of the rainbow over the lockdown period! I want to see a real myriad of colour now, so my final question is ‘what is your favourite colour? (Hehe.) Purple and turquoise.
New Questions
- Are you a dog or a cat person? Explain your answer.
- Pick a decade to time travel back to, and explain what you would do there.
- What is your favorite genre of music and who is your favorite performer?
- What was the best thing you read during quarantine?
- Who is your celebrity crush? The more embarassing, the better.
- What is the strangest thing that you believed as a child?
- Where is your dream travel location?
- What is the best advice you have ever received?
- What are your interests other than what you blog about?
- What is your next blogging goal or milestone you wish to reach?
- What is your favorite quote?

Oh Kristie! That was an amazing read. I do think I know you a little better because of it. Your college course sounds inspiring. And I’m so glad that you like turquoise, that often forgotten colour of the rainbow. Purple too – very majestic!
Well done with your new questions also. I think that I will have to check out a couple of the lovely bloggers myself! I hope you enjoyed it! These awards do make us think a little more outside of the box.
Have to dash as it’s the children’s bedtime and Tara has started to kick off to daddy!
We are off out to a local Michelin started restaurant! Yippee!!! Socially distanced of course! Lockdown is easing here!
Sorry all hell now breaking out! Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!

Social distancing restaurants are actually fun. Each table now has a romantic feel because no one is close enough to interrupt with loud conversations. I hope you have a wonderful time.

My husband and i have been very fortunate when Michael managed to finish off his research through the precious recommendations he received out of the web site. It is now and again perplexing to simply always be freely giving techniques the others could have been making money from. Therefore we know we now have the writer to give thanks to for that. All of the illustrations you’ve made, the straightforward site menu, the friendships you will assist to create – it is most exceptional, and it’s aiding our son and the family feel that this content is amusing, which is certainly exceptionally fundamental. Thanks for the whole thing!
